The framework agreement is for the conversion of Iveco Daily 50C17 vans, or other van manufacturers equivalent, with extra high roof to police support unit vehicles.
The vehicles to be converted will be purchased by a Participating Authority. The Contractor will uplift the vehicles from the Participating Authority for the purposes of the body build conversions and return the converted vehicles to the Participating Authority.
The requirement will include elements for protection, internal and external conversions.
Protection conversions will be required for: windscreen (glass and external mesh); door glass; doors and door trims; radiator; fuel tank; exhaust; lights; interior roof; and run flat tyres.
Internal conversions will include: additional seating; flooring; sidewalls and roof panels; overhead storage; shelf storage; heating, ventilation and air cooling systems; grab rail; one person containment cell; split charge system; 12 volt sockets; inverter system; and interior lighting.
External conversions will include: blue light system; roof aerials; and side windows.
The warranty offered for all parts, materials and workmanship supplied and/or installed by the Contractor must have an on site parts and/or labour warranty of at least 12 months.
Facilities must be made available for periodic inspection of the conversion(s) by the Participating Authority’s Authorised Officer, during and at completion of, the construction(s).
