The service to be provided is x-ray imaging and assessment of dental maturation stages from the x-ray (orthopantomogram/OPG).

The purpose of the procurement is to enter into a framework agreement for the purchase of imaging and assessment of dental maturation stages from the x-ray images. The purpose of the framework agreement is to cover UDI's need for medical age assessments that can be used as a basis for decision-making in UDI's age determination of unaccompanied minor asylum seekers (UMA). This is one of two methods of assessing chronological age included in the recommended medical age assessments. The provider of the service must take an x-ray image (Orthopantomogram (OPG) panoramic x-ray) and read the stage of dental development according to Demirjian's grading system and other grading systems, such as Moorrees, based on OPG. Stages will be read by two independent dentists and the results will be summarised into one answer. The Department of Forensic Sciences at OUS will instruct.
