Sufficient computing and storage capacities must be provided for the storage expansion to establish and equip a biobank for the medical faculty of the Martin Luther University Halle (Saale). This requires servers and switches to expand the existing IT infrastructure. For this purpose, 2 lots are advertised, which can be awarded separately from each other. This involves LOS 1 server consisting of 2 Dell Isilon clusters with 4 A200 nodes each, as well as lot 2 switches consisting of 4 associated EMC Celestica 2PS with 24 ports each. The hardware must be proven to have been obtained from a certified dealer of the manufacturer and must not have been used or previously used in any other way.

Two Dell Isilon clusters, each with 576 TB gross drive capacity + 1.6 TB SSD cache each, which are operated in failover mode, are to be procured. The clusters each consist of 4 A200 nodes. 4 nodes are housed in one shelf each. The SmartLock license, which provides a WORM function, deserves special mention in terms of software functions. This ensures that the data cannot be changed and thus ensures that data stocks are archived safely over a long period of time (eg 10 years).
