The state of Saxony-Anhalt, represented by the State Office for Flood Protection and Water Management (LHW), is planning to improve ecological continuity at the Egeln-Nord weir group in the Bode section of water, km 37+600 to 37+500, as part of the achievement of the objectives of the EC Water Framework Directive (Directive 2000/60/EC). Following the recommendations and stipulations of the Saxony-Anhalt migratory fish program, the Egeln Nord military site is to be designed to be ecologically consistent. In addition to fish passability, the tourist development of the site for canoeists is to be created. The Bode is a 1st order body of water. Planning results from 2010 and 2015 are available, some of which can be used.

The order is placed in 3 performance levels (LS). In LS 1, the basic analysis and preliminary planning of property planning engineering structures as well as for the landscape conservation accompanying plan as well as special and additional services are commissioned.

In LS 2 (optional), design and approval planning as well as special and additional services, including the support of the approval process, are to be commissioned for the project planning of engineering structures and for the landscape conservation accompanying plan.

After submission of the approval, LS 3 (optional) includes the commissioning of the construction planning engineering works for execution planning, preparation and participation in the award, site management as well as special and additional services.
