As part of this procurement process, the European Central Bank (ECB) is looking for a supplier to provide medical advice and verification services related to occupational health services to ECB staff from 2 August 2024.
Medical advisers are required to perform the following tasks and report to the occupational health section of DG Human Resources and Safety (HR) on these tasks:
— prevention of safety and health at work (OSH);
— medical screening services in connection with the ECB's sick leave procedure;
— medical assistance in the procedure for occupational diseases;
— assistance related to and taking into account the requirements of the ECB's Conditions of Employment;
— assistance in dispute resolution procedures for disputes of a medical nature;
• assistance with the ECB's health insurance;
• assistance in the event of an administrative accident with regard to employment insurance;
— Handling and evaluation of ergonomics requirements for equipment and others.

The order volume is estimated at 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday) for the period August 2024 to December 2025 and 52 hours per week from January 2026.
These working hours may be increased by the ECB to up to 80 hours per week until December 2025 and up to 100 hours per week thereafter.
Services must be provided by at least two qualified and experienced medical advisors, but preferably more.
