The project Lifespan Extending Maintenance (LVO) Vondelingenweg focuses on carrying out life-extending maintenance on the pavement construction of the Vondelingenweg and a number of connecting roads. The Vondelingenweg is intensively used as an access road for customers and other activities in the 1st and 2nd Petroleumhaven, the Eemhaven and the Waalhaven. The Vondelingenweg is also a Regional Road and an emergency route for the A15.

Life-extending maintenance (LVO) must be carried out on the Vondelingenweg over a length of approximately 4.6 km - 'from fence to fence'. This means that not only the pavement is looked at, but all assets that have to do with the infrastructure. Where necessary, center guides, road furniture, signage, etc. are renewed.
