Shunt reactor procurement for the agreement period January 1st 2023 – December

31st 2030 (the Framework Agreement). Elenia Oy’s aim is to form the Framework

Agreement with trusted strategic partners (the Partner). The Partners are allowed to

participate in mini competitions organized within the Framework Agreement to

become as suppliers (the Supplier).

The shunt reactors referred to in this procurement concern products for reactive

power compensation in three-phase 24kV and 50 Hz electric distribution network.

The shunt reactors shall be immersed in mineral oil with ONAN cooling and suitable

for continuous indoor and outdoor service,. Shunt reactors shall withstand normal

northern climate conditions and regular snowy and icy conditions, with temperatures

ranging from -40C to +40C with lifetime more than 50 years. Shunt reactors shall be

installed outdoors in primary substation switchyards as well as in secondary

substations along medium voltage network. Besides shunt reactors, also logistics to

the project sites in Finland, is included in the procurement. The total estimated value

of the Framework Agreement is approx. EUR 20 million (€20 000 000). During the

first supply period the total net sales of these products and services is annually

approx. EUR 9 million (€9 000 000).

Within this procurement Elenia Oy forms the Framework Agreement and selects

suppliers for shunt reactors for the first Supply Agreement period from January 1st

2023 to December 31st 2025. Partners will be selected from the Framework

Agreement to be as suppliers (the Supplier) for the first supply period. Separate mini

competitions will be held for selecting suppliers for later supply periods
