The Government of Åland hereby invites interested bidders to participate in this procurement regarding consultancy assignments for the preparation of a master plan, including environmental assessment for sea areas for offshore wind farms for parts of the North Sea in Åland. The assignment is planned to be carried out during 2023-2025 investigations, preparation of master plans including environmental assessment of the Åland sea areas mainly for measures on the construction and operation of wind turbines and wiring. The Provincial Government intends to commission the consultancy work on the planning and environmental assessment as a whole, so that both parts can be prepared in parallel and with continuous exchange of information.
This procurement is part of the Sunnanvind project carried out by the provincial government. Project Sunnanvind's basic idea is to enable the construction of large-scale offshore wind power in Åland.
