The service also helps to increase the ability for caregivers to provide equal care to everyone, regardless of geographic location.
Video and distance meeting service consists of two parts; the Infrastructure Service and the Meeting Service.
The Infrastructure Service is primarily aimed at organisations working in the highly specialized healthcare industry and enables them to have video meetings with each other in a simple and functional way over Inera's infrastructure service Sjunet. By connecting their local video equipment to the video infrastructure, they can easily connect with each other and have high-quality and high-availability meetings. Through a secure connection to the internet, other parties can also be invited over the internet.
The Meeting Service is a national meeting service which enables video meetings with several different organizations at one time. The meeting service is complementary to the Infrastructure Service. Infrastructure service is needed for video systems to call each other up and the Meeting Service contributes the ability for more systems to talk to each other at the same time.
