The project of a heart center at the Küchwald site is intended to create modern and integrated care structures for the efficient treatment of regularly time-critical cardiac patients at Chemnitz Hospital. The construction of the Cardiology Center (new building 7 / conversion of house 6) aims at the concentration and bundling of resources of the cardiology functional areas currently distributed over 3 locations. The core structure will consist of six cardiac catheterization laboratories, two of which will focus on electrophysiological examinations.
