fairway adaptation Berlin North Route, Spandau Horn, How-km 0.288 to Sow-km 1.141

Fairway adjustment with construction of anchored sheet piling including equipment

WNA Berlin is planning to adjust the fairway in the Spree estuary area between HOW - km 0.288 to SOW - km 1.141.

The following services are part of the construction project:

- Spandauer Horn excavation (SOW North - km 0.203 to km 0.221; HOW - km 0.190 to 0.288)

- Spreeschanze shallow water zone, former berth (SOW Nord - km 0.221 to km 0.403)

- Sheet pile wall Spreeschanze (SOW North - km 0.385 to km 0.619)

- New waiting points (SOW North - km 0.619 to km 1.141)

- Sheet pile wall junction Ruhlebener Altarm (SOW South - km 0.179 to km 0.246)

- Channel depression - floor dredging (SOW - km 0.100 to km 1.141; HOW - km 0.110 to km 0.288)

- New replacement drinking water culvert WSA Spree-Havel SOW - km 0.544

- Dismantling culvert bell line SOW - km 0.574

- Dismantling gas culvert SOW - km 0.351

A division of services into lots is not envisaged.

The Spandau Horn is excavated and secured with a new anchored sheet pile wall. The subsequent former berth is converted into a shallow water zone by placing an unanchored wave protection wall (with closable openings) in front of it. The adjoining area will be secured with newly erected steel sheet piles and expanded as a waiting station in the range of SOW km 0.619 to km 1.141. The branch into the Ruhlebener old arm is provided with a sole protection.

An existing drinking water culvert is to be dismantled and replaced by a new building.

A gas culvert that has been out of operation for a long time is also to be dismantled.

In the run-up to the work, a search for and, if necessary, evacuation of weapons should take place

After the work is completed, planting of the site is planned.

The following main quantities have to be implemented structurally:

- Pull and dispose of approx. 4,900 m² of sheet piling

- Break off approx. 110 m sheet piling spar

- Loosen and temporarily store approx. 13,400 m3 of soil

- approx. 34,500 m3 of wet dredging work including intermediate storage on barges

- Dismantle approx. 2,400 m³ deck

- Install and compact approx. 11,400 m³ of soil

- Deliver approx. 2,400 t sheet piling

- insert approx. 17,300 m² sheet piling

- Make approx. 400 permanent grouting anchors including connections

- produce approx. 1,000 m cover spar

The following construction services are to be provided for the adaptation of third-party structures:

- Adaptation of the run-out structure Sow-km 0.488, -part B-,

- Construction of a measuring station at Sow-km 4.450 and dismantling of the existing measuring station at SOW-km 0.650, -part C-,

- Dismantling of double cable connector for SoW km 0.890, -part D-
