As part of the expansion work on the Lötschberg Base Tunnel, the Ferden access tunnel (ZST) must be rehabilitated so that it can continue to ensure safe use as an escape route and as a construction site access road during the upcoming main work on the railway tunnel.
In the repair for a useful life of 30 years provided for in Lot 08, recognized local damage will be repaired. Zones in which a sufficient condition is established are maintained as they exist. In the upper approx. 1,200 m, a flat vault waterproofing must be installed. An approx. 20 m long carbon zone has to be rehabilitated with base vaults and steel arches, as large deformations occur here. Electromechanical equipment must be laid; a new radio cable must be installed.
