USHT's paramount social task is to contribute to strengthening the quality in the health and care sector through subject and competence development and the spreading of new knowledge, new systems and national guidelines.

In connection with this, USHT region Drammen shall implement an innovative, joint contract for the procurement of professional e-training programme for the health, social and care sector.

The contract includes the following municipalities:

— Drammen municipality,

— Lier municipality,

— Svelvik municipality,

— Nedre Eiker municipality,

— Øvre Eiker municipality.

Nedre Eiker municipality, Svelvik municipality and Drammen municipality shall sign a joint contract. However the municipalities shall be invoiced separately until the municipal merge is effective from 1.1.2020. Lier municipality and Øvre Eiker municipality shall enter into one contract each.

Listed below is an overview of the courses included in the tender competition:

— hygiene, infection control, including food handling,

— diet and nutrition,

— the use of restraint and power in connection with disabilities. Cf. chapter 9 in the Norwegian Health and Care service Act,

— health aid for users without consent competence, Chapter 4.a,

— user consent assessment,

— documentation (compulsory documentation/Journal regulations),

— everyday command, including welfare technology — everyday command, including welfare technology,

— introduction of the health and care service for employees without health education,

— cognitive disability/dementia,

— palliative care and pain relief,

— course in pharmaceutical management for employees who need authorisation for medication management,

— medication management for nurses/nurses trained in learning disabilities.
