The subject of the assignment is the appointment of a general contractor in one lot for the construction of the new head office (HQ) and Bio-incubator for VIB at Tech Lane Ghent Science Park (TLG) in Zwijnaarde (http: //www.techlane .be).

The new building is a high-rise of approximately 14,000 m 2 gross floor area (GFA).

The program has a dual use, with the bio-incubator as its main function and the VIB head office as an ancillary function. The bio-incubator comprises rentable modules of approximately 250 m 2 net consisting of office space and biotechnology laboratories. The head office mainly consists of offices, reception and meeting space, building-related needs and catering.

The building must meet the BREEAM “Very Good” score, with an “Excellent” score for 'energy'.

The site (plot) on which the new building will be erected is located in Ghent, on TLG - Campus E (site Eiland Zwijnaarde), at a visible location south of the E40.
