The successful service provider(s) are required to deliver expert advice, information and assistance on actuarial matters arising in the context of the Authority’s functions. Such matters would be expected to include actuarial matters arising in relation to functions (a) and (c) in paragraph 1.2 of this request for tenders. Examples of matters that the Authority is currently engaged in and in relation to which assistance may be sought are the Authority’s functions in regard to the financial provisions in the Health insurance (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 2009, advising on drafting and implementing a new risk equalisation system and reviewing Minimum Benefit Regulations.
