Part of making an appointment on appointment.testenvoortoegang.nl is an SMS verification of a user's mobile phone number. This platform, and further communication around the access tests, is offered in both the Dutch and English language.

An SMS message verifies that the entered phone number exists and belongs to the user. This is important because the test proof of the Coronacheck app depends on the phone number. A maximum of the number of test appointments per day per telephone number is imposed: this is enforced by the Open Netherlands Foundation.
