Supply of a ruggedised RF transmission system.

Expressions of interest are invited from interested contractors for the supply of a ruggedised RF transmission system.

The system shall be able to carry real time video and telemetry data in a secure encryted format from multiple forward mounted Electro Optical (EO) sensors to both static (Ops room) and mobile (soldier mounted), monitoring and control points.

The distance between EO sensor and monitoring a control points can be anything from 0km to 20km, which can be achieved through hops as required. The transmission system is required to operate in urban and open field environments where congested/poor RF environments are likely.

The radio must operate, in priority order, within either the UK2, UK4 or UK1 frequency bands. The use of UK1 will depend on the overall radio performance and Ofcom restrictions applicable when operating within this band.

The system shall be able to encode or integrate with a range of video encoders and output to a range of viewing/control platforms.
