The project will focus on the production, purification and characterization of a wild protein and its variants, mutated at the protein sequence level. This will initially involve the production and purification of these variants, followed by a thermal stability and forced degradation study. The purpose of this study will be to evaluate how variants change under given conditions (temperature, air humidity, light, ph, agitation, oxidizing agents) over a specified period of time. The results will determine, among other things, the recommended shelf life and storage conditions. Finally, a functional study will compare ligand binding and the effectiveness of different variants compared to the wild protein.
