The Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth (BMFSFJ) and the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) intend to award the external evaluation of the projects "Girls ́Day - Mädchen Zukunftstag" and "Boys ́Day - Young Future Day" by means of a negotiated procedure with participation competition pursuant to § 14 Abs. 3 Nr. 3 VgV.
Gender-specific horizontal and vertical segregation of the labour market still prevails in Germany. Since both action days want to counteract this, the question arises as to what medium and long-term sensitization effects have been triggered by the action days so far among the participating students and whether the career and study choice spectrum imaginable for one's own career has been sustainably expanded by participation in the action day. In this context, it is important to check whether the awareness-raising measures used in the Girls ́Day (GD) and Boys ́Day (BD) projects are having the desired effect. The evaluation also serves to monitor target achievement and impact. The overall concept should also include an impact model on the basis of which indicators for the analysis of target achievement and effectiveness can be derived.
