The purpose of the works governed by these special specifications is the work provided for in the joint contract agreement relating to the execution of works annexed to this CSC and the work provided for in the collaboration agreement with SPAQUE S.A. for the management of spoil.

This contract concerns the creation of a new road network, namely:

- Realization of a pavement with two traffic lanes, in flexible (hydrocarbon) coating;

- The roadway will be bordered by a RAVeL cyclo-pedestrian path along it, on one side only. RAVeL is on its own site, separated from the roadway by landscaping and public lighting;

- Setting up three roundabouts to connect and streamline road traffic in line with the three roads encountered: rue de Longtain and the Tivoli hospital center to the south, rue Emile Vandervelde and rue Franco-Belge to the north;

- The realization of landscaping allowing the integration of the urban boulevard into the urban fabric crossed (housing, former industrial sites in the process of becoming subdivisions);

- The integration of a parking area in the southern section of the urban boulevard (between rue de Longtain and rue Emile Vandervelde) given the future urbanization of the so-called “Longtain” site;

- The establishment of a buffer basin along the communal stream “Le Thiriau du Luc” in order to delay water flows and curb flooding at the level of rue Franco-Belge.

The work is carried out on the land base of the R54, belonging to the IIa network.

- The integration of a parking zone in the southern section of the urban boulevard (between rue de Longtain and rue Emile Vandervelde);

- The establishment of a buffer basin along the communal stream “Le Thiriau du Luc”.
