Worcestershire County Council has commissioned an integrated drug and alcohol specialist treatment and recovery service for adults and young people living in Worcestershire.

Worcestershire County Council have followed Direct Award Process C for the award of the Worcestershire Drug & Alcohol Service contract.This process has been undertaken in accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023 and the Council's Constitution and Standing Orders.

Worcestershire County Council has commissioned an integrated drug and alcohol specialist treatment and recovery service for adults and young people living in Worcestershire.

The main purposes of the service are to:

- Prevent deaths and harm to people who are drug or alcohol dependent.

- Reduce unmet need (rate and number, all drug types).

- Support people to overcome substance dependence: complete their treatment successfully and be substance-free or sustain a reduction in use.

- Support people to improve their physical and mental health and wellbeing.

In accordance with the Health Care Services (Provider Selection Regime) Regulations 2023, Worcestershire County Council's intends to apply Direct Award Process C to award the Worcestershire Drug & Alcohol Service Contract to its existing provider, Cranstoun Services Limited.

The duration of the contract will be 6 years from 01 April 2025 to 31 March 2031 and will have an approximate lifetime value of £22,736,880.00.
