Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co. KG, North branch, has the hopper dredger "Seekrabbe" in the field of watercraft. The subject of this award procedure is repair work on the hopper excavator "Seekrabbe" specified by DNV or BG-Verkehr.
Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co. KG is the largest infrastructure operator of public seaports, island supply ports and regional ports on the German North Sea coast. The client is responsible for five seaports, seven island supply ports and three regional ports in the coastal region of Lower Saxony. The company consists of the headquarters in Oldenburg and the branches in Brake, Cuxhaven, Emden, Norden and Wilhelmshaven. Its core tasks include the development, construction and maintenance of port infrastructure.
Niedersachsen Ports GmbH & Co. KG, North branch, has the hopper dredger "Seekrabbe" in the field of watercraft. The hopper dredger "Seekrabbe" is used to ensure the nautically required navigable water depths within the framework of the regularly necessary maintenance of the ports and port entrances, primarily in the area of responsibility for the island supply ports of the North branch, but also across branches in the other ports of NPorts.
The vehicle is subject to the technical guidelines and regulations of the flag state BG-Verkehr and the classification society DNV. The investigations, inspections and repair work specified by the BGV and DNV are necessary to maintain the class run and thus the ship's safety. A detailed examination of the ship is carried out by the DNV or the BGV. On the basis of the conservation status, it is decided whether the class of the ship is maintained, downgraded or withdrawn. The aim is to obtain the maximum interval of the class running period for the ship "Seekrabbe" of 5 years.
Necessary measures to maintain the class have been or will be determined by DNV and BGV and are to be carried out by the contractor.
