Mid and East Antrim District Council are keen to ensure that residents of the Ballymena, Carrickfergus and Larne areas are able to access and obtain free, high quality advice and assistance from an easily accessible and identifiable source.
Mid and East Antrim District Council wishes to tender the provision of General Advice Services similar to the proposals outlined by DSD's ‘Opening Doors’ Strategy. The new strategy ‘Advising, Supporting, empowering — A strategy for the delivery of generalist advice services in Northern Ireland 2015-2020’ is currently under consultation, any additional objectives from this new strategy must be met.
The service provider must provide a general advice service to the public in accordance with the aims, principles and policies of a recognised advice providing body and adhere to a membership scheme or code of practice. This service must be independent, be impartial and offer a free service to all. Good customer service will be paramount.
