Humberside Police has appointed the services of Balfour Beatty Living Places Procurement Consultancy to manage and administer the required OJEU Restricted Procurement process in line with EU Regulations. Humberside Police require a property solution to accommodate and consolidate a number of operational policing and support services into a single corporate building located at the geographical fulcrum of the Force, and enabling accessibility across the wider Yorkshire region. The Force area aligns with four Local Authorities created from the former Humberside County Council. These are North East Lincolnshire and North Lincolnshire Councils on the south bank of the River Humber, and East Riding of Yorkshire and Hull City Councils on the north bank. The building will be two stories, with a footprint of approximately 4,200 m². 40 % of the footprint should be double height to accommodate the garage and fleet maintenance functions, and elements of the Marine Unit. The remaining footprint will be predominantly office accommodation on two floors. The facility will require car parking for 200 cars and include a service yard area, together with space to accommodate future expansion of 20 %. Humberside Police require the freehold of the land and building. It is anticipated that the site area required will be approximately 4.5 acres.
