Melton Borough Council is seeking a suitably skilled, qualified and experienced contractor to undertake its Replacement Windows and Doors programme for its general needs housing stock over the next 4 years. The successful contractor will perform the installation works in line with an annual programme specified by the Council for each year of a 4 year contract 2015-19. If required, and at the Council's sole discretion, the installation programme may be extended for up to a further 2 years. The contract will involve the supply and replacement of defective UVPC, aluminium or wooden windows and doors to a selection of properties within the Borough of Melton. Replacement windows and doors are required at various locations throughout Melton Borough Council's property portfolio, details of which are provided in the Block Listing document that accompanies the contract specification. Contractors must comply with statutory minimum requirements in terms of Health and Safety, Environmental management, Equalities and Safeguarding. The contract is expected to commence 1.9.2016 for a four year term. Subject to requirements and at the Council's sole discretion, the contract may be extended for up to a further 2 years.
