Planning services BNB coordination for an institute building as a new building for the Fraunhofer Institutes ISI and IOSB in Karlsruhe as part of a grant measure according to RZBau. The applicant must present a licence / certificate for Coordination of Sustainable Building according to the Sustainable Building Assessment System (BNB) / DGNB Auditor (or equivalent). The aim of the award is BNB coordination to ensure the certification of the construction project in BNB silver or higher. The scope includes all services necessary to ensure the intended certification, such as consulting, coordination, testing and documentation of the services of all those involved in the project, including verification and submission to the conformity testing body.

The new building is a workplace for 430 employees and around 150 student assistants. The construction project is to be erected at Fraunhoferstraße 1 in 76131 Karlsruhe. A new spatial concept (NEW WORK) will be implemented for the measure, which can also enable medium-term growth. The core of the spatial concept is the creation of flexibly usable and designable open office spaces that promote openness, transparency and creativity, as well as being used in areas for concentrated work. In addition to the office space, simple research areas (workshops) with approx. 800 m² of usable space are included in the space program. In total, a usable area NF 1 - 6 of 7,145 m² is required.
