In a regional context, the municipalities of Alkmaar, Bergen, Castricum, Heiloo, Hollands Kroon, Heerhugowaard, Langedijk and Schagen (hereinafter the municipality) are looking for an appropriate solution for animal collection and animal transport. The municipality wants to come up with a future-proof solution for the reception and transport of domestic animals and the transport of wild animals. Currently, the municipalities of Langedijk and Heerhugowaard are in an administrative merger and will form the municipality of Dijk en Waard as of 1.1.2022.
The municipality intends to conclude new agreements for a maximum period of 10 years (= until 31.12.2031), starting no earlier than on 1.1.2022 and if necessary later in the case of current agreements. The municipalities have decided to launch a joint European tender on the market for animal reception and transport.
