The subject matter of the contract to be awarded is the implementation of a supplementary remediation investigation and planning of the groundwater concerning the operating site of the former colliery and coking plant Massen 3/4 as well as optionally the expert services for the preparation and implementation of the groundwater remediation measures.

In the years 2018 to 2020, as part of two remediation phases, the core damage in the ground on the site of the former colliery and coking plant Massen 3/4 was rehabilitated by means of large-hole drilling to a maximum depth of 9 m. The core damage restoration has been completed.

It remains to be planned the remediation of the groundwater in the outflow of the rehabilitated sewage pond. For this purpose, extensive work must be carried out to record the groundwater damage and complex considerations and, if necessary, preliminary tests for the selection of the appropriate remediation process must be carried out.

This project is the site of the former colliery and coking plant Massen 3/4 in Unna, which was operated from 1912 to 1926.

The results of soil investigations on the site show that tee oils were found in the area of a former sewage pond, which have also spread to neighboring properties. In the outflow of this sewage pond, coking plant-specific pollutants were also detected in the groundwater. The contaminant plume can be traced to the pumping station on Wasserkurler Straße.

The services to be awarded include the implementation of a supplementary remediation investigation (SU) and preparation of a remediation plan (SP) in accordance with BBodSchG / BBodSchV.

The rehabilitation measure is carried out in two separate processing steps (renovation phase I and renovation phase II).

The restructuring phase I is firmly commissioned and consists of:

- Preparation of a work and safety plan according to DGUV rule 101-004 "contaminated areas" formerly BGR 128
- Preparation of the recovery plan for the declaration of commitment of the competent authorities

The time estimates specified in the specifications are to be understood as the basis for calculation. A fee offer for the restructuring phases I and II must be prepared. The contract is initially awarded for the services of the restructuring phase I. The client reserves the right to commission the services of the restructuring phase II as part of the overall measure (restructuring phase I and II) (option). There is no legal entitlement to the transfer of these services as well.

The valuation of the fee is based on the offer for the renovation phases I and II.
