The Contract is for the provision of a specialist engineering services for the general inspection, maintenance and servicing of all plant items at not less than the manufacturers designed performance to the Contract Administrator's satisfaction for the Council's Passenger and Mobility Lifts (Stair Lifts). The Contract also requires the provision of a call-out facility for rescue operations and urgent repairs 24 hours per day / 365 days per year.

The Contractor is expected to advise the C.A in all matters regarding the correct and efficient working of all lifts. They will also be required to provide a call-out facility for rescue operations and urgent repairs 24 hours per day / 365 days per year.
Shepway District Council owns 15 passenger lifts and 33 Mobility Lifts (Stair Lifts) including 2 Corporate Facilities.
NOTE: The number of Mobility Lifts required for servicing and maintenance are subject to change during the life of the contract; dependent on the needs of residents.
