Description:
Framework Agreement on shrapnel interceptor block stripping services

The CEA center in Gramat carries out terminal ballistics tests of various pyrotechnic buildings generating metal splinters.

Cardboard chip interceptors are used to recover the various fragments projected during the commissioning of the building.

The service consists of examining each of the shrapnel interceptors using the procedure attached to the Business Consultation File (DCE).

The CEA center in Gramat carries out experiments to characterize the functioning of pyrotechnic buildings that can generate metal splinters.

An important result is the recording of the spatial distribution of these fragments as well as their individual mass.

This goal is achieved by placing cardboard blocks in the arena, also called shrapnel interceptors, in which the fragments will be recovered.

The objective of the requested Service is the stripping of cardboard blocks.

At the end of an experiment, each fragment interceptor block is dismantled, then transported and stored horizontally in a room at the CEA center in Gramat for analysis.

These handling operations will be carried out by CEA agents.

The analysis of each block, at the expense of the Data Controller, is carried out manually and consists of several repetitive operations, described in the operating procedure indicated in the specifications.
