The Fraunhofer Institute for Environmental, Safety and Energy Technology (UMSICHT) in Oberhausen is planning to procure an embossing test rig for the rotary forming of compound-based bipolar plates for PEM fuel cells for priority use in research. In this process, an electrically conductive film made of highly filled thermoplastics is to be formed into bipolar half sheets by embossing. An embossing test stand (incl. embossing unit with structured rollers, a preheating unit and material output) is to be offered.
