The project Helleren Upper Secondary School and main facility for diving is situated at Nygårdstangen in Bergen. The building is approximate.y 28.000 m², divided over 6 floors plus basement and technical room in the attic.

The site borders Lungegårdsvannet to the south and the train station/goods terminal to the north/east. Access to the site is a driveway from the north. The site is flat and is of fill that has been established over several years. This means that the ground is not well documented (large depths have been uncovered approx. 25 m to bedrock).

A public space will be built around the building with urban structure. A green axis will be established along the space to the east. Room will also be created here for different types of stays and activity. Footpath and bicycle path along 2 sides of the building shall be retained (and incorporated). A 'wharf' will be established to the train station. The surface will consist mainly of asphalt with different processing.

A roof terrace will be constructed as a school yard on level 3. The space will be established as a rubber surface with concrete surface against the building. Plant towers, hedges and seating elements will be established.
