In recent years, the Main-Kinzig district has built up a passive broadband network (VDSL) of up to 50 Mbit/s and leased it to an operator. The expansion is to be driven forward in order to achieve the federal government's broadband targets towards a gigabit society. For this purpose, all buildings in the entire district area except the city of Hanau, but with Hanau Klein-Auheim and Hanau Mittelbuchen, are now to be developed with FTTH, provided that the buildings can be developed in accordance with funding guidelines (gigabit; FTTH migration). The basis for this is the framework regulation of the Federal Republic of Germany to support the nationwide deployment of gigabit networks in “gray spots” from February 12, 2021 (Gigabit Directive). The approximately 50,000 buildings will be expanded from around the beginning of 2022 and will run for about 5 years.
On this basis, the subject of the present tender is the award of (framework) supply contracts for the materials required by the client for the expansion in ten (10) lots. For details, reference is made to the details of the lots. The (individual) retrieval of the required materials per lot is done successively according to construction progress. An acceptance and/or volume commitment for the respective contractual partners is not given.
Companies wishing to offer the necessary services (providers) are requested to submit the information and evidence listed, as well as an offer, in accordance with this announcement by the expiry of the offer period specified in Section IV.2.2 in the publication.
