Renewal and modernization of the Bühlot outdoor pool in Bühlertal:

After more than 50 years of operation, the outdoor swimming pool built in the 1960s is in need of major renovation and modernization.

The following measures are planned:

- Reduction of the water surface of the existing combination pool from approx. 1,500 square meters to 960 square meters,

- Dismantling of the existing functional building and replacement with a two-part new building with accommodation of the technical systems as well as the changing, sanitary and personnel areas,

- Complete renewal of the water treatment system and the associated piping as well as renewal of the sanitary, heat supply and electrical systems,

- Installation of a stainless steel combination pool in the existing concrete pool,

- complete renovation of the outdoor facilities,

- Installation of a wide wave slide and a new jumping facility (1 m, 3 m, 5 m).

Start of construction: March 1, 2021 Completion: April 15, 2022 Total construction costs (KG 200-600): approx. 5.6 million EUR net.

Structural work:

earthworks:

- Remove about 4 600 square meters of lawn, remove topsoil,

- approx. 390 sqm girder pile shoring,

- approx. 4 000 cbm excavation pit,

- approx. 2,000 cbm fillings, backfills, partly with delivery material,

- Approx. 1,500 cbm of pipe trench excavation and backfilling.

Drainage works:

- approx. 1,100 m underground pipes of various diameters,

- approx. 12 inspection shafts.

Masonry:

- approx. 265 sqm KSV masonry,

- approx. 90 square meters of facing.

Concrete work:

- approx. 175 cbm of block and strip foundations as well as walls in outdoor facilities,

- approx. 65 cbm strip foundations,

- approx. 225 cbm floor and foundation slabs,

- approx. 65 m ring beam and wall pillars,

- approx. 290 cbm walls and upstands,

- approx. 80 t of bar and mesh steel.

Service period:

- from week 9 2021: delivery and creation of the construction site equipment,

- from approx. KW17 to KW22 2021: Concrete work Bühlot inlet structure,

- from approx. KW25 2021 to the end of November 2021: structural work on the building,

- from approx. Week 9 2021 to mid-August 2021: structural work for pool facilities and slide,

- By approx. March 2022, dismantling of the construction site equipment according to construction progress.
