The L 73 is in the south-east of Saxony-Anhalt. The Prosigker Bridge is located in the area through the Köthen pass. The condition of the existing bridge structure has been assessed as insufficient. The structure should therefore be replaced by a new bridge (BW 0003) and 3 new retaining walls will also be built.

The existing Prosigker bridge (2-field structure with a length of approx. 63 m) crosses the electrified DB route 6403 Magdeburg - Leipzig, the electrified DB route 6 420 Köthen - Aschersleben, several side tracks and an industrial main track, which is being dismantled.

The construction costs for the bridge amount to approx. EUR 12.5 million (EUR 10.5 million bridge, EUR 2 million retaining walls 1 to 3).

In addition to demolishing and rebuilding the bridge, the complex construction project also involves optimizing the lines of the L 73 and B 185, including the 3 nodes on the construction route (thorough road construction). The construction costs for the optimization amount to approx. EUR 6.9 million.
