The Regional Association Saarbrücken (client) intends to award planning services for conversion and renovation of the existing building with extension of the former Mozart School to the special school for intellectual development, work phases 1 to 9 of the service profile of the object planning building according to § 34 HOAI in conjunction with Annex 10.1 to the HOAI as well as the following special services:
• Preparation and coordination with the specialist planners with regard to an approvable drainage application.
• Proof in accordance with the Building Energy Act (GEG).
• Energy advice (with a view to investigating other alternatives higher than the GEG standard, as well as advising on subsidies and their application).
• Fire protection concept, including certificates of conformity, escape and rescue route plans (according to DIN ISO 23601) and fire brigade plans (according to DIN 14095).
The construction project is planned on the site of the Mozartschule Dudweiler.
Due to increasing numbers of pupils from year to year, the special school G "Am Winterbachsroth", Saarbrücken-Dudweiler, has changed its space requirements. In spring 2021, planning for the reorganization and expansion of the site has already begun. The Mozart School in Dudweiler, which is currently still let, offers itself as a new location due to an existing property with appropriate infrastructure and a large, largely flat property.
The conversion can be carried out parallel to the teaching activities of the school "Am Winterbachsroth".
In addition to the need for additional classrooms with directly adjoining differentiation rooms, rooms for voluntary all-day school/afternoon care have also become necessary. Due to its floor plan structure (classrooms already available), the existing Mozartschule property offers the division of the large rooms into one classroom with adjoining differentiation room. Additional sanitary facilities are to be built on each floor, as well as workshops, specialist rooms and storage facilities in the basement. In a two-storey extension, two further classrooms and function rooms (sports, therapy, teaching kitchen, kitchen, dining room) are planned. A meeting possibility for internal school events is desired. In order to ensure accessibility, an external elevator is to be built in conjunction with a foyer between the old and new buildings. In the outdoor area, a playground with play and exercise facilities as well as a covered stop for the school buses is planned. The car and bicycle parking spaces required by licensing law must be taken into account when preparing the building application.
The following dates and deadlines are planned:
- Start of planning: immediately after commissioning
- Start of construction: 01.04.2024
- Completion: 30.09.2026
