The Midlands Districts Insurance Consortium consists of 8 Councils from Worcestershire, Staffordshire and Derbyshire who are carrying out a joint tender for insurances.

This will include (but not limited to) property damage, terrorism, casualty, fidelity guarantee/crime, motor fleet and uninsured loss recovery, personal accident/travel, engineering insurance and computers.

The 8 Councils have a common renewal date of the 1.7.2019 but have separate polices with different perils, limits of indemnity and excess.

Contracts for each lot will be evaluated as a consortium and the award for each lot will be made to the most economically advantageous bid for each lot against the award criteria.

In addition to conventional insurance approach, the Consortium will also be seeking bids on a non-conventional pooled basis.

Insurance to support a "consortium risk pooling" solution in respect of Lots 1,2,3 and 4
