The new construction of the Germersheim fire brigade externally represents an elongated, compact cube in which the various uses are housed. Basic building data: External dimensions: approx. 95 mx 30 mx 7.6 m, usable area: 2 472.10 m 2 , GFA: 3 643.30 m 2 , BRI: 19 470 m³ vehicle hall and warehouse as well as the foyer in the northeast extend over the entire building height, the areas with operations center, respiratory protection area and clothing care, technology, social and training rooms are arranged in an L-shape on two levels.

Except for the steel supports in the foyer, the load-bearing structure consists of reinforced concrete (walls, supports, ceilings). Columns or walls are arranged along the longitudinal facades and in the center of the building in a grid of 4.5 m. Semi-precast beams are placed on the supports in the transverse direction of the building. Between the beams planned at a distance of approx.4.5 m, a flat ceiling made of uniaxially exciting semi-finished slab ceilings with an in-situ concrete supplement on the top is stretched.
