The authority requires bids from suitably qualified organisations to provide vehicle accident repair services, minor mechanical repairs, commissioning and decommissioning of vehicle on a non-exclusive basis. The framework agreement will be open to all association of Greater Manchester Authorities (AGMA).
The procurement is divided into 2 lots:
Lot 1 (Minor Accident Repair): e.g. Non-structural panel work and paint work, minor mechanical repairs, commissioning and decommissioning of vehicles;
Lot 2 (Major Accident Repairs): e.g. Structural and chassis repair, minor mechanical repairs, commissioning and decommissioning of vehicles.
The authority intends to award the contract for each lot to a maximum of 5 providers.
Lot 1: (Minor accident repair): e.g. Non-structural panel work and paint work, minor mechanical repairs, commissioning and decommissioning of vehicles.
Lot 2: (Major accident repairs): e.g. Structural and chassis repair, minor mechanical repairs, commissioning and decommissioning of vehicles.
There is an optional requirement for HGV body work repairs and we envisage that services providers bidding for this lot would be able to provider the HGV body work repairs.
