At Oriveden Kotikoivu Oy's sites, plowing also includes the opening of the main access routes and the prevention of slipperiness for residents in the stairwells and common areas of apartment buildings (sauna facilities and washrooms in some terraced houses, bicycle storages and separate storage room doors, waste disposal points). The opening of access routes to these locations is primarily done as part of machine work, if possible. In terraced houses, residents carry out snow work in front of their own apartment.
