As part of its operational responsibilities in respect of the GÉANT network, GEANT Limited regularly deploys transmission and IP routing equipment in commercial and private co-location and housing facilities throughout Europe.

This procurement is to set in place a series of non-committed Framework Agreements with one, or more, Provider(s) of IP and Optical Transmission equipment deployment and implementation services, the scope and content of which will establish the terms and conditions governing future call off contracts for the deployment of said equipment.

It is anticipated that a range of Framework Agreements, with up to 5 different Bidders, will be established, and these will provide GEANT Limited with access to deployment engineering services in support of the GÉANT network over the next 4 years. The intention is for DANTE to ‘call off' various network engineering deployment services during the term of the frameworks. The scope of the agreements will cover services to support the following:

a) racking equipment;

b) related power supplies and commissioning;

c) network equipment;

d) cabling;

e) associated testing in readiness for acceptance certification.
