The object is the production and supply of 40 four-part electric multiple units for local rail passenger transport as well as their long-term maintenance over 30 years (SH-MSW I award). The multiple units are to be used primarily in Schleswig-Holstein and Hamburg.

- The object of the contract is the manufacture and supply of electric multiple units for local rail passenger transport as well as their long-term maintenance over 30 years (SH-MSW I award).

- Electrically driven four-part multiple units, continuously accessible from 760 mm platforms and continuously accessible from 760 mm platforms, are required. Parts of the multiple units must be double-deck.

- According to the current schedule, multiple units are scheduled to be delivered from October 2026.

- The maintenance of the multiple units is to take place from their delivery until the timetable change in December 2057.

- The manufacturer is obliged to provide multiple units that are operational and ready for operation in accordance with the contract on a permanent basis over the entire contract period.

- The manufacturer becomes the owner of the multiple units and must perform ECM functions I-III as defined in Directive (EU) 2016/798.
