Design, delivery and installation with regard to the realization of the
redesign of 2 public buildings in the Middelheim Museum: the
collectiepaviljoen en de orangerie
For the operation from 2024, adapted infrastructure is needed in the form of a reception, collection and information point and museum shop.
The assignment is divided into two parts:
- Design, delivery and placement with regard to the realization of the redesign of the collection pavilion so that the library with public function can be moved from the Orangerie to the Collection Pavilion.
- Design, delivery and placement with regard to the realization of the orangery as a visitor pavilion in function of the operation from 2024.
In order to promote readability on the site of the Middelheim Museum, both locations are coordinated in terms of concept (look and feel). The museum wants a maximum connection in terms of appearance and design between the layout of the orangery and that of the collection pavilion. However, the context is very diverse: The collection pavilion was built in 2000 by Stéphane Beel, while the orangery has been protected historical heritage since 1976.
The conditions that apply to the execution of the assignment are included in the specifications, which will be sent to the selected candidates in phase 2.
The tenderer will undertake to implement both components by 1 April 2024 at the latest.
