The current HS1 station communication systems were installed between 2004 and 2012 in order to protect, control and manage the infrastructure. The age of the communications systems means that equipment and systems are now either obsolete or shortly becoming obsolete, with limited manufacturer support. This has resulted in a need for a number of communication systems across all four stations to be renewed. The renewal will provide a modern digital communications system with additional capacity to future proof the system for future expansion.
The Systems Delivery Integrator will be appointed for the provision of design, sourcing, build, installation, integration, operational handover, warranty and support of station communication systems within the four HS1 international stations with the option to include planned preventative maintenance services and the provision of any future system services.
The procurement process will be carried out strictly in accordance with the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 using the restricted procedure. Participants must sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement prior to PQQ and ITT information being released and this information will be issued to participants following the expression of interest deadline of 17:00 Friday 1.12.2017. Please note that the PQQ, ITT and associated documentation will only be issued to participants who have signed and returned a fully populated Non-Disclosure Agreement.
