Procurement of a Tecan Freedom EVO 200 pipetting robot from Bergman Diagnostica for analysing spit samples. FHI currently has an equivalent robot in operation, but needs to increase the capacity for analysing samples from approx. 3 500 to 20 000 per annum.

As an extraction method has already been established, it is important that the new robot is the same as what we have, as regards set-up, technique and programmes, as the robots shall be used interchangeably in a routine environment.
