Pergamon Museum - Basic repair and extension - Construction phase B - Inventory investigation stage 2, 3 - Award 1782/2023

Pergamon Museum - Basic Restoration and Extension - Construction Phase B

As-built investigation stage 2, 3 - Drilling work - DIN 18350,18330,18355,18364 - VE 7212-8

In construction phase B of the Pergamon Museum, as-built investigations are to be carried out for the planning of the main measure "Pergamon Museum Basic Repair and Addition to Construction Phase B". It is the next stage of investigation, which will be carried out after the closure of the museum section and complements the investigations already carried out during the operation of the museum in stage 1.

The investigations to be carried out under this contract are divided into two stages:

Stage 2, takes place during the execution of the sub-measure restoration and clearance (RuB);

Stage 3, takes place after clearance with the start of construction of the main measure, the preparatory protective measures and the non-structural dismantling as part of the basic repair (GuE) clearance and activation of the museum.

The construction work required for the construction investigations is a prerequisite for the documentation of the inventories by measurement and expert documentation of the wall, ceiling, floor and staircase constructions of the shell and finishing. The opening points used for the investigation are to be made by drilling, cutting and partial dismantling in places of the solid structures, the masonry or cladding made of plaster or Rabitz or the floor structure. For the execution of the investigations, as well as for the measurement and documentation, internal scaffolding and mobile working platforms are to be provided. For the investigation of the window lintels, some of the listed windows are to be dismantled. Steel columns are exposed and then cleaned by sandblasting and protected against corrosion.

The production of exploratory boreholes in the existing building and boreholes for the extraction of drill cores, the creation of the search openings and opening points as well as the exposure of the steel structures without damage to the subsoil represent a demanding technical achievement that can in no way be compared with the construction of boreholes or breakthroughs for pipelines. The proper construction of the opening points is an indispensable prerequisite for the subsequent investigations and assessments as a whole. The drilling work and production of the opening points require a high degree of expertise, experience and equipment on the part of the executing company.

The documentation of the as-built investigations is carried out by separately commissioned surveyors, MEP planners and experts during and after the construction work.
