The project comprises a primary school and additions with 2 extensions for the existing part from 1980. The extensions are called ‘building 1’ towards the north/east and ‘building 2’ towards the south/west. The original part from 1923 against the nursery in the south/west shall be demolished and cleared.

The project includes the further development and upgrading of a footpath and access road with car parks and a roundabout turning area. New bus lay-bys shall be developed south east of the school.

The contract includes moving a transformer and alternating the main electricity feed.

Fjerdum nursery will be affected by the development as the part that shall be demolished is currently connected. The nursery shall be in operation during the entire construction period and consideration shall, therefore be taken to the nursery in all phases of the work.
