The service consists of the conception and implementation of staff training in the areas of information, prevention, early intervention, counselling and mediation in the field of gambling addiction as well as in the field of player and youth protection. The minimum requirements for these training courses are laid down in § 6 para. 2 no. 3 GlüStV 2021. In addition, LOTTO Hamburg's internal regulations for the implementation of the social concept in LOTTO acceptance points must be trained.
LOTTO Hamburg GmbH must provide a social concept for its responsible gaming measures within the framework of the State Treaty on the Reregulation of the Gaming Industry in Germany (State Treaty on Gambling 2021 – GlüStV 2021), which has been in force since 01.07.2021, and the Responsible Gaming Standards of the European Lotteries. A social concept exists and is regularly adapted as required. Staff training is an essential component of the terrestrial social concept. § 6 para. 2 no. 3 GlüStV 2021 and the associated commentary on the law set out the minimum legal requirements for mandatory staff training and content.
The commissioned external, pedagogically qualified service provider (= contractor), who is active with scientific findings from gambling addiction research, carries out and designs gambling addiction prevention training courses for its own staff of LOTTO Hamburg GmbH as well as for the staff working in the LOTTO acceptance points.
