The purpose of this contract is the transformation of the N49 Damme Maldegem into a motorway of kmpt. 135.1 to kmpt. 136.8 in combination with the construction of uneven ground crossings and the construction of local erfont closure roads, parallel roads and free-lying cycle paths for local traffic.

The assignment mainly includes (non-exhaustive):

- drawing up/carrying out and submitting for control the necessary studies for the realization of the works (up to obtaining an agreement from the procurer), for example for drainage, foundation, reinforcement, phasing ...;

- Setting up the construction site;

- the demolition of Hoornstraat 161;

- the demolition of the buildings on the corner of the N49 and the eastern Waterpolder;

- the implementation and maintenance of less nuisance measures during the works;

- felling trees within the project area;

- grubbing up plantings,

- breaking up pavements, linear elements, pipes, old culverts...;

- carrying out earthworks with both 'dry' and 'wet' earthmoving;

- the construction of roadway pavements in asphalt, cement concrete, grass concrete tiles...;

- the construction of linear elements,

- the construction of RWA sewerage;

- carrying out all kinds of works;

- building a three-pronged eco-diver under the N49 near the Lost Creek;

- markings and vertical signage,

- the construction of a tunnel under the N49 between Tramweg/Hoornstraat and Waterpolder;

- carrying out seeding works in verges;

- the planting of new trees;

- the clearance of the construction site after completion of the works,

- the preparation of an as-built file;

- green construction and maintenance during the guarantee period;

- the identification of works in the various stages of implementation,

- maintenance of the works during the guarantee period.
