The Forest of Dean District Council is inviting tenders for the provision of Street Cleansing services throughout the District. The Council is mindful of its responsibilities and duties under the Environmental Protection Act 1990 to keep public land and highways clear of litter. The Council’s commitment is that residents of the area and visitors alike should be able to perceive that the Council is taking all reasonable steps to ensure that it complies with the Act. The services comprise: Litter and detritus clearance Litterbin emptying Cleansing of recycling bank sites Collection of fly tips Collection of dead animals Autumn leaf clearance on pavements Cleaning of Council owned car parks Cleansing after special events Removal of illegal fly posting and graffiti The contract will commence on 1.4.2019 and terminate on 31.7.2024. There is the option to extend the contract for 1 year.
